Mounting Engine

Mount engine on front-axle carrier.
1. 1.1 Lower engine with workshop crane and > 3033 - lifting tackle onto the front-axle carrier and move it into installation position.

Left side of engine:

2.1 Carefully guide in drive shaft -1- and insert it into the all-wheel final drive console -2- (-arrow- ). Check that the drive shaft is seated securely.

2.2 Fit engine mount -4- on engine carrier -5- .

2.2.1 Fit and tighten screw -3- .

> Initial tightening 70 Nm (52 ftlb.)

> Final tightening + 90°

Drive shaft and left engine mount (V8 biturbo engine)

Right side of engine:

3.1 Carefully guide in drive shaft -1- and insert it into the all-wheel final drive -2- (-arrow- ). Check that the drive shaft is seated securely.

3.2 Fit engine mount -4- on engine carrier -5- .

3.2.1 Fit and tighten screw -3- .

> Initial tightening 70 Nm (52 ftlb.)

> Final tightening + 90°

Secure coolant lines -1- to the front-axle carrier -2- at the left.
1. 4.1 Secure coolant lines -1- in the holders -arrows- .

1. 6.1 Connect coolant line -1- and secure with a clamp -2- .
