Installing Fuel Tank
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Install fuel tank -4-
.
- 1.1 Position the fuel tank -4-
and restraining straps using > VAS 6931 - Transmission and Engine Jack
and a suitable base on the vehicle.
- 1.2 Screw in screws -1 to 3-
by hand.
- 1.3 Tighten the screws -1 and 2-
.
> Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- 1.4 Tighten the screws -3-
.
> Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- 1.5 > VAS 6931 - Transmission and Engine Jack
must now be removed.

Fuel tank screws
- Secure carbon canister line -1-
.
- 2.1 Connect and lock electric plug connection -3-
.
- 2.2 Push on and lock quick connector -2-
.

Carbon canister line
- Secure the fuel filler tube -5-
.
- 3.1 Position head of the filler tube -5-
in the filler flap seal.
- 3.2 Fit and tighten screws on the fuel filler tube in the sequence -1 to 3-
.
> Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
- 3.3 Connect and lock electric plug connection -4-

- Insert and lock cap -1-

- Clip hose -1-

- Secure electric line with a new tie-wrap -1-

- 9.1 Fit protective cover -4-

- 9.2 Fit and tighten screws -1 to 3-

- 10.1 Connect and lock electric plug connections -2 and 3-

- 10.2 Push on and lock plug-in coupling for fuel line -1-

in floorpan.
- 11.1 Position cover -1-
using marking -2-
to groove -3-
