Installing Primary Catalytic Converter
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
- 1.1 Replace V-band clamps.
- 1.2 Replace seal -1-
on V-band clamps.
- 1.2.1 Carefully lever out the seal using a screwdriver and insert new seal.
- 1.3 Tighten new V-band clamp securing primary catalytic converter to turbocharger.
> Tightening torque 7 Nm (5 ftlb.) +/- 1 Nm (0.5 ftlb.)
- 1.4 Tighten new V-band clamp securing primary catalytic converter to catalytic converter.
> Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.) +/- 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)
