→ Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
→ Always use insulated tools, such as an > VAS 6883 - insulated tool set when working on these parts.
→ Observe general warning notices for working on the high-voltage system.

- Perform tests for verifying absence of electric charge and insulation resistance tests using > VAS 6558A - High-voltage testing module

- Loosen retaining frame at the top -2-

- 2.1 Unscrew fastening screws -1-

Fastening screws on retaining frame
- 2.2 Unscrew fastening screws -3 and 4- .
Fastening screws on retaining frame
- 2.1 Unscrew fastening screws -1-

- Remove pressure accumulator with load distributor plate and retaining frame.
- 3.1 Unscrew fastening screws -5-
.
Fastening screws on pressure accumulator, bottom
- 3.2 Unscrew fastening screws -6-
.
Fastening screws on retaining frame, bottom
- 3.3 Remove load distributor plate together with lower bar from the high-voltage battery and set it aside.
- 3.4 Remove retaining frame together with the pressure accumulator from the high-voltage battery and set it aside.
- 3.1 Unscrew fastening screws -5-
.
- Remove E-box.
- 4.1 Unscrew fastening screws -1-
using > VAS 691 003A - High-voltage tool set TORX®
. The exposed threads must be cleaned.
Replace micro-self-locking screws.
Fastening screws on E-box
- 4.2 > 9924 - Centring pins-3-
must now be screwed into the free bores.
Centring pins on E-box
- 4.3 Unscrew and remove fastening screw -4-
.
Replace micro-self-locking screw.
Loosening E-box
- 4.4 Carefully disconnect E-box from the high-voltage battery.
- 4.1 Unscrew fastening screws -1-
using > VAS 691 003A - High-voltage tool set TORX®
. The exposed threads must be cleaned.
