Mounting PORSCHE Double-Clutch Transmission

  • Risk of squashing or crushing 

    → Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

  1. Coat shaft teeth -Arrow-  with Longtime 3EP  .

    Suspend transmission using > VAS 6100 - workshop crane  and > 9932 - gearbox support-1-  and position it on the engine.

  2. Mount transmission on engine and screw in and tighten new screws. Observe the tightening sequence.

    Screws -1 to 5-  > Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)  + > Torque angle 60 (44 ftlb.) ° 

    Screws -6 to 9-  > Initial tightening 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)  + > Torque angle 105°

  3. Fit ATF line -2-  and connect cable plugs -4 and 5-  .
    1. 3.1 Remove stoppers.
    2. 3.2 Guide ATF lines -2-  into the transmission -6-  and fit and tighten screw -1-  .

      > Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) 

    3. 3.3 Fit and tighten screw -3-  .

      > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

    4. 3.4 Connect and secure cable plugs -4 and 5-  on the transmission -6-  on both sides.

  4. Install connecting shaft.
    1. 4.1 Replace circlip -1-  and O-ring -2-  on input flange on four wheel final drive.
      1. 4.1.1 Coat input flange -Arrow-  on final drive, four-wheel drive lightly with Longtime 3EP  .

    2. 4.2 Install connecting shaft -3-  .

      Using impact puller 9799

      1. 4.2.1 Fit connecting shaft -3-  on the all-wheel final drive and -1-  install -Arrow-  using > 9799 - impact puller  .
    3. 4.3 Check installation position of the connecting shaft -1-  . The connecting shaft is fitted correctly if the groove -2-  is visible.

    4. 4.4 Remove > 9799 - impact puller  from the connecting shaft.
  5. Secure equip potential bonding line -1-  on the electric machine at the right.
    1. 5.1 Fit and tighten screw -2-  .

      > Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

  6. Secure coolant lines -1-  and -2-  at the top of the electric machine.
    1. 6.1 Insert coolant lines -1-  and -2-  into the electric machine.
    2. 6.2 Position holder -4-  and fit and tighten screw -3-  .

      > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

    3. 6.3 Fit and tighten screw -5-  .

      > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

  7. Plug in electric connectors for rotor position sensor -1-  and temperature sensor -2-  .
    1. 7.1 Position heat shield -4-  and fit and tighten screws -3-  .

      > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

  8. Secure high-voltage lines at the electric machine.

    > 279319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HIGH-VOLTAGE LINE FROM POWER ELECTRONICS TO ELECT. MACHINE
