Installing Brake Booster Vacuum Pump

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
    1. 1.1 Clean contact surfaces on the vacuum pump and cylinder head.
    2. 1.2 Replace sealing rings on the vacuum pump and vacuum line and grease them.
    3. 1.3 Align the vacuum pump driver exactly on the groove of the outlet camshaft.
    4. 1.4 Tighten fastening screws to the specified tightening torque.

      Tightening torque for screws on brake booster vacuum pump: >Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)  Tightening torque for screws on holder: >Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.8 ftlb.)
