Removing Engine

Disconnect coolant line at the power electronics.
> 279119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING POWER ELECTRONICS FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
Disconnect coolant line -1- at the front.
1. 2.1 Loosen clamp -arrow - and pull off coolant line -1- .
2. 2.2 Collect emerging coolant.

Coolant line on change-over valve
Disconnect coolant line -1- at the ATF cooler -2- .
1. 3.1 Loosen clamp -arrow- and pull off coolant line -1- .
2. 3.2 Collect emerging coolant.

Coolant line on ATF cooler
Disconnect coolant lines -1- on the front-axle carrier -2- at the left.
1. 4.1 Open holder -arrows- and disconnect coolant lines -1- .

Coolant lines on front-axle carrier

Left side of engine:

5.1 Loosen engine mount -4- from engine carrier -5- .
1. 5.1.1 Loosen and unscrew screw -3- .

5.2 Press drive shaft -1- off the all-wheel final drive bracket -2- (-arrow- ) and guide it out carefully.

Drive shaft and left engine mount (V8 biturbo engine)

Right side of engine:

6.1 Loosen engine mount -4- from engine carrier -5- .
1. 6.1.1 Loosen and unscrew screw -3- .
6.2 Lift the engine up slightly.

6.3 Press drive shaft -1- off the all-wheel final drive -2- and guide it out carefully.
