Installing Anti-Roll Bar Mount

  1. Carefully move anti-roll bar mount -1-  into installation position -arrow A-  .

  2. Only for e-Hybrid vehicles:  Secure electric line for steering -1-  and electric line for transmission -2-  at -items A and B-  on the antiroll bar mount -3-  .

  3. Not for e-Hybrid vehicles:  Secure electric line for steering -1-  and electric line for transmission -2-  at -items A and B-  on the anti-roll bar mount -3-  .

  4. Secure anti-roll bar mount -1-  at the front and rear.
    1. 4.1 Tighten screws -3-  on the body > Initial tightening 70 Nm (51.6 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 180° 
    2. 4.2 Tighten screws -2-  on the front-axle carrier > Initial tightening 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 30°

    Anti-roll bar mount at front and rear

  5. Tighten anti-roll bar mount -1-  at the sides.
    1. 5.1 Only at the left (RHD vehicles)/only at the right (LHD vehicles): Tighten screw -3-  and counter at the nut on the steering gear at the same time > Initial tightening 20 Nm (14.8 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 180° 
    2. 5.2 Tighten screws -2-  on the front-axle carrier on both sides of the vehicle > Initial tightening 50 Nm (36.9 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 30°

  6. Install strut -1-  on both sides of the vehicle.
    1. 6.1 Tighten screw -2-  > Initial tightening 70 Nm (51.6 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 180° 
    2. 6.2 Tighten screw -3-  > Initial tightening 50 Nm (36.9 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 45°

  7. Secure electric line for steering -1-  and electric line for transmission -2-  at -items A and B-  on the anti-roll bar mount -3-  .

  8. Only for e-Hybrid vehicles:  Clip cable holder for high-voltage lines -1-  into anti-roll bar mount.

  9. Only for e-Hybrid vehicles:  Secure bracket for high-voltage lines.
  1. 9.1 Install bracket for high-voltage lines on front-axle carrier.
    1. 9.1.1 Fit tie-wrap and position bracket for high-voltage lines.
    2. 9.1.2 Clip in upper part of bracket for high-voltage lines.
    3. 9.1.3 Tighten tie-wraps.
    4. 9.1.4 Install expansion rivets.
  2. 9.2 Tighten screws for bracket for high-voltage lines on anti-roll bar mount to > Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.)  .
