Installing Charge Air Cooler

Some of the removal steps are described only on one side. The procedure on the other side is identical.

Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- .

Electric plug connection on charge-air cooler
Expose charge-air cooler.
1. 2.1 Unclip clip -1- for the refrigerant line from the charge-air cooler.
2. 2.2 Loosen screw-type clamp -2- on pressure hose -3- .
3. 2.3 Pull off pressure hose -3- and set it aside.

Charge-air cooler flange
Remove charge-air cooler -1- .
1. 3.1 Release locking lugs -2- using a suitable tool and guide charge-air cooler -1- to the rear -arrow- and remove it.

Mounting point for charge-air cooler

Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
1. 1.1 Screw-type clamp on pressure hose > Tightening torque 5.5 Nm (4 ftlb.) +/- 0.5 Nm (0.4 ftlb.) .
