Installing Anti-Roll Bar

- Installation is performed in reverse order.WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly

→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).
Information
Threaded joints must only be tightened in zero position to prevent warping in the bearings.
- 1.1 To tighten the screws, lift the wheel bearing housing as far as required using lifting equipment (e.g > VAS 6931 - Transmission and Engine Jack
) until the lower trailing arm is horizontal > Zero position
Zero position
- 1.2 Observe specified tightening torques:
Anti-roll-bar mount to rear axle housing: > Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) > Final tightening torque angle + 90°
Protective plates on rear axle housing bearings to rear axle housing: > Tightening torque 7 Nm (5.2 ftlb.)
