Removing Wheel Bearing Housing

- Remove brake cover panel -1-

Mounting for brake cover panel
- 1.1 Unscrew fastening screws -2- .
- Remove control arm spoiler -2-

Control arm spoiler on trailing arm
- 2.1 Unscrew fastening screw -1- .
- 2.2 Pull control arm spoiler lug off the shock absorber threaded joint.
- Loosen holder for level sensor -2-
from the trailing arm.

- 3.1 Unscrew fastening screw -1- .
- Remove speed sensor -1-

- 4.1 Unscrew fastening screw -2- .
- Remove cable holder -1-

Cable holder mounting
- 5.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on EPB actuator.
- 5.2 Unscrew fastening screws -2- .
- Use > VAS 6926 - Puller set
to press the drive shaft peg max > Control value + 10 mm
into the wheel hub so that the drive shaft splines are no longer engaged in the wheel hub > Pressing in drive shaft

- Loosen threaded joint -1-
slightly (do not remove it!).
Removing wheel bearing housing
Information
- The wheel bearing housing can tilt outwards.
- Do not leave drive shafts hanging from the joint stop.
- Loosen tie rod and upper control arm on the wheel bearing housing.
Mounting for tie rod and upper control arm
- 8.1 Get a second person to hold the wheel bearing housing and drive shaft.
- 8.2 Remove threaded joints -1 to 3- .
- 8.3 Tilt wheel bearing housing outwards and tie up drive shaft at a suitable position.

Removing wheel bearing housing
- If the wheel bearing housing, wheel bearing or wheel hub is replaced, the brake shoes and spreader device must also be removed or converted.
