Preliminary Work

Only for vehicles with PDCC: Disconnect 48-volt vehicle electrical system.

If you are replacing the rear axle housing: Remove the relevant hub cap using > 9229/1 - puller hook and loosen axle nut -1- on both sides of the vehicle before raising the vehicle. Operate the brake while doing this (2nd mechanic required).

Axle nut (front axle shown)
Remove brake calliper on both sides of the vehicle and hang it at a suitable place in the wheel housing.

Remove coil spring or release air from air spring.

Remove exhaust system.

Remove rear cardan shaft.
