Removing Guide And TENSIONING Rails

  1. Remove slides -1-  on both cylinder banks.
    1. 1.1 Carefully insert a suitable tool between the slide -1-  and holder -2-  .
    2. 1.2 Carefully lift the locking lug -3-  of the slide -1-  out of the recess -4-  in the holder -2-  .
    3. 1.3 Pull off the slide -1-  by pulling it forward away from the cylinder head.

      Removing slides

  2. Remove tensioning rail for right cylinder bank -1-  .
    1. 2.1 Unscrew bearing pin on tensioning rail for right cylinder bank -2-  .
    2. 2.2 Remove tensioning rail for right cylinder bank -1-  .

  3. Remove guide rail for right cylinder bank -1-  .
    1. 3.1 Unscrew bearing pin on guide rail for right cylinder bank -2-  .
    2. 3.2 Remove guide rail for right cylinder bank -1-  .

  4. Remove guide rail for left cylinder bank -1-  .
    1. 4.1 Unscrew screws on guide rail for left cylinder bank -2-  .
    2. 4.2 Remove guide rail for left cylinder bank -1-  .

  5. Remove tensioning rail for left cylinder bank -1-  .
    1. 5.1 Unscrew bearing pin on tensioning rail for left cylinder bank -2-  .
    2. 5.2 Remove tensioning rail for left cylinder bank -1-  .
