Removing Chain Tensioner For Cylinders 4-6 (Left)

Replace sealing rings, seals and O-rings.
NOTE:
Incorrect handling of crankshafts
- Risk of damage to the timing system
→ Never turn the crankshaft against the rolling direction or when the chain tensioner is removed.
→ Proceed carefully with your work.
→ Only turn the engine at the crankshaft.
→ Observe general warning notes and working regulations.
- The markings -1-
on the camshaft timing gears must be offset by 180° with respect to the relevant marking -Arrows-
on the camshaft housing. Turn the crankshaft further by one turn if necessary.

- Remove chain tensioner -1- .
- 2.1 Press the chain tensioner piston -1- back slowly as far as it will go by applying constant pressure using a suitable tool and then lock it using > T03006 - locking pin (-3- ).
- 2.2 Loosen and unscrew screws -2- and remove chain tensioner -1- .
