Installing Front Brake CALLIPER

WARNING: Old mounting parts fitted on the brake calliper

Reduced braking effect
Risk of damage to the brake calliper
→ Fit new pad retaining springs

Information

The use of an impact bolter is not permitted.
The thread must be checked visually and may have to be blown out carefully using compressed air. Always wear protective goggles when doing this!
Replace screws.

Information

Do not bend the brake lines.

For easier access, turn the steering fully to the left or right!

Visually check that all parts are in perfect condition and replace them if necessary.

Use > T10439 - assembly pins > Assembly pin for brake calliper Assembly pin for brake calliper to make it easier to remove/install the brake calliper.

Fit front brake calliper -2- on the wheel bearing housing.

Mounting for front brake calliper
1. 2.1 Reset disc brake pads using > 9472 - brake piston resetting fixture .
2. 2.2 Carefully move brake calliper into installation position.
3. 2.3 Tighten the screws -1- .
  > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.)
  
  > Final tightening torque angle + 90°
Fit brake line -2- on brake calliper and tighten union nut -1- > Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)

Secure brake line holder -5- on wheel bearing housing and tighten screws -4- > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
