Removing Rear Panoramic Roof Glass Panel

Information 

The rear panoramic roof glass panel cannot be removed without damaging it.

Information 

Cut carefully. Do not damage the paintwork or windscreen.

1. Open the rear lid.
2. Unscrew nuts -2-  .

3. Unscrew threaded bolt -1-  .

4. Cut off the foam surround -1-  around the rear panoramic roof glass panel using a cutter.

5. Mask the roof pillar and rear lid with adhesive tape -1-  .

   Masking

   WARNING: Vehicle windows removed and installed incorrectly 

   • Danger of cuts 
   • Risk of eye injuries 

     → Wear personal protective gear.

     → Always shut off power supply when replacing cutting knife.

6. Pierce adhesive bead on the left roof edge using a scratch awl -1-  and guide cutting cord into the passenger compartment.

7. Cut adhesive bead at the rear using > VAS 861 001A - Window removal set  .

8. Cut adhesive bead on both sides using > VAS 861 001A - Window removal set  > Adhesive bead at the sides

   1. 9.1 Pierce adhesive bead on the front roof assembly at the right using a scratch awl -1-  and guide cutting cord into the interior of the vehicle.
   2. 9.2 Cut adhesive bead at the front using > VAS 861 001A - Window removal set  > Adhesive bead at the sides 
10. Cut adhesive bead at the front corner on both sides using > VAS 861 001A - Window removal set  .
