Removing Wiring For Front Backrest
Information

- Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work.
- Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation.
- Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts.
Information
The number of electric plug connections will vary depending on equipment.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-
on backrest adjustment motor.
Releasing and pulling off electric plug connection
- Open the left line bracket -3-
and disengage it.
Opening and disengaging left line bracket
- Only for vehicles with seat ventilation, air cushion or backrest support (I-no. 4D1, 4D2, 4D3, 4D5, 4D6, 4D7, 4D9): Cut tie-wraps.
- Only for vehicles with seat ventilation (I-no. 4D1, 4D2, 4D3, 4D5, 4D6, 4D9):
Open the right line bracket -4- .

- Only for vehicles with seat ventilation, air cushion or lumbar support (I-no. 4D1, 4D2, 4D3, 4D5, 4D6, 4D7, 4D9):
Open and disengage the right line bracket -5-

- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -6-
for lumbar support motor.

- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -7-
for air cushion valve.

- Only for vehicles with massage seats (I-no. 4D2, 4D4, 4D5, 4D6, 4D7, 4D9):
Release and disconnect electric plug connection for lumbar support valve -7- .
Releasing and disconnecting electric plug connection for lumbar support valve
- Only for vehicles with massage seats (I-no. 4D2, 4D4, 4D5, 4D6, 4D7, 4D9):
Disengage lines at the holder.
- Disconnect electric plug connection for seat heating for backrest -8-
and loosen it from the holder.
Releasing and disconnecting electric plug connection for lumbar support valve
- Press line bracket -9-
forward.
Guiding electric wire harness out of front backrest
- Guide electric plug connections inwards.
- Disconnect electric line for front backrest.
- Guide out electric wire harness for front backrest.
