Installing Fuel Line (Left High-Pressure Pump To Rail)

Information 

Check fuel line for damage following removal and replace it if necessary.

1. Coat thread on union nuts with Microgleit DF 977S. Observe drying time of at least 5 minutes before fitting.
2. Install fuel line -1-  .
   1. 2.1 Lift cable duct, guide in fuel line -1-  and fit union nuts -9-  by hand.
   2. 2.2 Screw in and tighten screw -8-  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 
   3. 2.3 Tighten union nuts -9-  using > V.A.G 1331/6 - Open-jawed wrench insert, a/f 17  > Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)  + > Final tightening + 50°

3. The remaining installation steps are performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

   Tightening torque for nuts on ground lines: > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) (6.6 ftlb.)
