Checking Oil For Final Drive

  • Danger of scalding 

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

  1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -1-  .

    Oil inspection and filler plug

  2. Check oil level in the final drive.
    1. 2.1 The oil level is specified in the table Oil adjustment specifications for front-axle final drive and rear axle differential. 
    2. 2.2 The oil level in the final drive can be measured using an angled piece of wire, for example.
  3. Fit oil inspection plug -1-  .
    1. 3.1 Use a new oil inspection plug -1-  .
    2. 3.2 Fit oil inspection plug -1-  and tighten to > Tightening torque 35 Nm  .
