Removing Primary Catalytic Converter (V6 MONOTURBO)

    → Let hot components cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

  1. Loosen exhaust system to make more room for removing the primary catalytic converter.
    1. 1.1 Unscrew screw -1-  on exhaust system holder.

  2. Loosen V-band clamp -1-  on the turbocharger.
    1. 2.1 Loosen screw -2-  and relieve tension on V-band clamp -1-  .
    2. 2.2 Loosen V-band clamp -1-  from the turbocharger/catalytic converter flange.

  3. Loosen primary catalytic converter from the holder.
    1. 3.1 Unscrew screw securing support to primary catalytic converter -1-  .

  4. Remove primary catalytic converter.
    1. 4.1 Unscrew nuts securing primary catalytic converter to catalytic converter -1-  .
    2. 4.2 Guide primary catalytic converter up and out.
