Preparing Vehicle Flange - Vehicle Flange With Repair Paint Finish Without Adhesive Bead
- Create repair paint finish in the vehicle flange area.
- 1.1 Apply 2-component primer to the bare panel in the vehicle flange area.
- 1.2 Allow primer to dry.
- 1.3 Mask the bonding area around the vehicle flange with adhesive tape. Do not apply coloured paint to the bonding area.
- 1.4 Paint the vehicle flange and the remaining affected components with a standard repair paint finish and allow to dry.
- 1.5 Finally, remove adhesive tape used to mask the area.
- Clean the bonding area on the vehicle flange using a cleaning cloth from the adhesive set.

- Let cleaning agent air dry for 10 minutes.
Cleaning agent drying time
- Shake primer for 2 minutes. The steel ball must be clearly heard and felt moving inside the primer cartridge.
Primer
- Apply a single coat of primer from the adhesive set in the bonding area on the vehicle flange in one movement using the applicator brush.
Primer on vehicle flange
- Let air dry for 15 minutes.
Primer drying time
- If a drying time of 8 hours is exceeded: Primer may be applied only once and within 96 hours of applying the first coat of primer. Primed bonding surfaces must be protected from external influences and dirt during this period. Let primer air dry for 15 minutes again.
