Preliminary Work

  1. Remove cylinder head.

    > 157019 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING CYLINDER HEAD 

  2. Remove camshafts.

    > 150520 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING CAMSHAFTS 

  3. Remove spark plugs.

    > 287020 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING SPARK PLUGS (R4)

  4. Remove valve lifters from the cylinder head and lay them on a clean surface, arranged according to cylinders and valves so that they cannot get mixed up.

    > 155920 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING VALVE LIFTERS (R4)
