Removing Engine Mounting

- The engine mounts must be replaced only in pairs.
- If an engine mount Is defective, the heat shield must also be replaced.
Information
The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.
- 10-222A - Support bracket must be pre-tensioned slightly.
- Disconnect electric line from left engine mount.
Electric plug connection for engine mount
- 2.1 Unlock and disconnect electric plug connection -1- .
- 2.2 Unclip holder -2- and clip -3- .
- Loosen left engine mount -1-
from front-axle carrier and engine.
Left engine mount
- 3.1 Remove screws -2 to 4- .
- Loosen engine from right engine mount -1-
.
Right engine mount
- 4.1 Unscrew screw securing engine to engine mount -2- .
Information
- This work can only be performed when the engine has been suspended on the body.
- Remove left engine mount.
- 5.1 Lift the engine by about 20 mm at the spindle of the 10-222A - support bracket .
- 5.2 Remove engine mount with retainer plate.
