Removing Coolant Temperature Sensor (Engine Outlet)

Danger of scalding
1. → Avoid contact with hot fluid.
2. → Wear personal protective gear.

Information

When the engine is cold, the cap on the coolant reservoir can be opened briefly in order to release residual pressure in the cooling system.

Remove coolant temperature sensor -1- .

Coolant temperature sensor (engine outlet)
1. 1.1 Have suitable aids ready for catching any emerging coolant.
2. 1.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- .
3. 1.3 Unscrew screw on coolant temperature sensor -3- .
4. 1.4 Remove coolant temperature sensor -1- .
5. 1.5 Catch emerging coolant using suitable aids.
