• Turning the adjusting screw on the brake calliper back (slightly) can make it easier to fit the spreader device.>

Information 

• The sealing ring must always be replaced. 
• Ring groove and contact surfaces must be cleaned if dirty. Only use brake cleaner for this. 
• Make sure not to damage the ring groove on the sealing ring and the contact surface of the actuator. 

1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
   1. 1.1 Replace sealing ring on spreader device.
   2. 1.2 Replace screws for spreader device.
   3. 1.3 Tighten new screws on spreader device.

      > Tightening - torque 11 Nm (8 ftlb.) 

   4. 1.4 Check that the brake hose and electric lines are routed correctly. The brake hose must be routed between the wheel bearing housing and electric lines.
2. Use the PIWIS Tester  to commission the electric parking brake (EPB).
   1. 2.1 Select the Parking brake control unit in the control unit overview.
   2. 2.2 Then, select Commissioning under Maintenance/repairs  .
