Removing Rear Disc Brake Pads

1. Use the PIWIS Tester  to move the electric parking brake (EPB) into assembly position. 
   1. 1.1 Select Parking brake  in the control unit overview.
   2. 1.2 Select Assembly position  under Maintenance/repairs  .
2. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for spreader device -1-  .

3. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for rpm sensor -1-  .

4. Unclip brake hose -1-  and electric line -2-  from the combination holder -3-  on the wheel bearing housing.

5. Loosen contact for brake pad wear indicator -1-  at the holder -2-  and carefully pull it out of the brake calliper.

   Information 

   • The brake calliper with calliper carrier must not be left hanging on the brake hose. The weight must not strain the brake hose. 
   • A damaged brake hose must be replaced. 
   • The brakes and electric parking brake (EPB) must not be actuated when the brake calliper is removed. 
6. Disconnect brake calliper -1-  from calliper carrier.

   1. 6.1 Unscrew screws -2-  .
   2. 6.2 Remove brake calliper -1-  .
7. Remove rear disc brake pads to the side -Arrows-  .
