Installing Wheel Electronics
- When changing a wheelset or wheel, the data must be documented in the control unit. This is especially important when wheel positions have been interchanged.
- 1.1 For this purpose, always select the tyre type and tyre size in the instrument cluster under Tyre pressure/Tyre type.
- 1.2 The control unit then learns the wheel positions again while the vehicle is moving.
- Clean the valve bore very carefully (visual inspection).

When replacing the wheel electronics:
- Always use completely new valves.
- Always use new bolts.
- Fit the wheel electronics unit loosely at the valve (do not tighten) and position it in the valve bore together with the new valve.

- Counter at the new valve while fastening with an assembly pin (supplied with the new valve).
- This prevents the valve-end seal from turning and thus possible damage.
- Place the washer, which has been chamfered on both sides, from the outside, screw on the union nut and tighten.

- 4.1 Turn the hole on the valve foot until the enclosed mounting pin can be inserted.

- Ensure the correct tilt angle of the valve with respect to the wheel electronics unit by pressing the wheel electronics unit slightly into the rim base.

Overview of wheel electronics
Information
- Carry out the screw on the wheel electronics unit/valve evenly and in one turn.
- Do not interrupt the tightening process.
- Remove the assembly pin after tightening the components.

The wheel electronics must not come into contact with tyre mounting paste or solvent.
- Fit and tighten self-locking screw. The wheel electronics unit should now be lying evenly against the rim. > Torque - 4 Nm (3 ftlb.) (3 ftlb.)
