Preliminary Work

  1. Disconnect battery ground terminal.
    • Refer to 270619 Removing and installing vehicle electrical system battery 
  2. Drain refrigerant.
  3. Drain coolant.
    • Refer to 193817 Draining and filling coolant (R4) 
    • Refer to 193817 Draining and filling coolant (V6 Turbo) 
  4. Remove cross panel.
  5. Disconnect heat exchanger supply hose at the connection point for the passenger compartment.
  6. Disconnect heat exchanger return hose at the connection point for the passenger compartment.
  7. Remove front footwell outlet vent (at the left and right).
  8. Remove centre console.
  9. Remove air ioniser.
  10. Remove dashboard bracket.
