Before Starting Suspension Alignment: Prerequisites

Perform suspension alignment using an electronic wheel-alignment analyser. Measurement procedures are described in the operating instructions for the wheel-alignment analyser used.
For nominal value for front and rear axles, refer to the technical data.

- Empty weight of vehicle according to DIN 70020, i.e. vehicle in ready-to-drive condition with full fuel tank and including tools but without driver or additional weights.
- Joint and wheel-bearing play OK (wheel-bearing play cannot be adjusted). Check joint play if necessary.

- The tread depth on one axle must not differ by more than 2 mm.
- Tyre pressure in accordance with specifications
- Strictly comply with maintenance intervals for measuring equipment and measuring platform.
- Perform suspension alignment only in the sequence specified in the appropriate service information.
