Mounting Specifications For Charge-Air Cooler And Pressure Hoses - V6 Monoturbo

Information 

To prevent vibrations and noises, the mounting specifications must always be observed.

Mounting specifications for charge-air cooler and pressure hoses - V6 monoturbo

Arrows  Markings on the pressure hoses and charge-air cooler/throttle valve

1. Markings on the pressure hose must be aligned with the groove on the throttle valve and on the charge-air cooler.
2. Marking on the pressure hose must be aligned with the groove on the charge-air cooler.
3. The centre point of the screw head must be centered in the bearing (deviation permitted only in the centre of the vehicle)
4. Marking on the pressure hose must be aligned with the groove on the charge-air cooler.
5. Sleeve on the bearing must protrude forward from the rubber sleeve in idle state.
6. Sleeve on the bearing must protrude forward from the rubber sleeve in idle state.
7. Marking on the pressure hose must be aligned with the groove on the charge-air cooler.
8. Marking on the pressure hose must be aligned with the groove on the charge-air cooler.

Tightening sequence for charge-air cooler (shown on left charge-air cooler)

1. Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
   1. 1.1  Replace O-rings.
   2. 1.2  Check seal on intake manifold for damage and replace it if necessary.
   3. 1.3  Tighten screws on intake manifold -5-  .
      • Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
