Installing Front Brake CALLIPER

Information
A different brake variant can be installed, depending on the country of delivery.
When working on the brake system, select and observe the relevant description.
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
- 1.1 Reset brake pads using > 9472 - brake piston resetting fixture .
- 1.2 Replace screws securing brake calliper to wheel bearing housing.
- 1.3 Tighten screws securing brake calliper to wheel bearing housing -3-
.
> Tightening - torque 196 Nm (145 ftlb.)
Front brake calliper
- 1.4 Secure brake line to brake calliper.
> Tightening - torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- 1.5 Tighten screw securing brake line holder to wheel bearing housing -2-
.
> Tightening - torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
Brake line holder
- 1.6 Position disc brake pads by pressing the brake pedal several times.

> Initial - tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 90°
Front brake calliper
- 1.4 Tighten brake line to the brake calliper.
> Tightening - torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- 1.5 Tighten screw securing brake line holder -2-
to wheel bearing housing.
> Tightening - torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
Brake line holder
- 1.6 Position disc brake pads by pressing the brake pedal several times.
