| 1 | Fuel injector/replace O-rings; replace combustion chamber sealing ring Check that it is installed at the correct position |

| 3 | Fuel collection pipe > Tightening - torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) |
| 4 | Rollertappet |
| 5 | Pressure regulator for fuel pressure |
| 6 | High-pressure pump With pressure regulator for fuel pressure Make sure that no dirt gets into the fuel system during installation Protect the high-pressure pump from impact of any kind The fuel system must be depressurised for installation Do not strain fuel lines during installation |
| 7 | Screws/replace > Tightening - torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) |
| 8 | Adapter for fuel supply line/replace > Tightening - torque 40 Nm (30 ftlb.) |
| 9 | Union nut > Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) |
| 10 | Union nut > Tightening - torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) |
| 11 | Adapter/replace > Tightening - torque 40 Nm (30 ftlb.) |
| 12 | Screws > Tightening - torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) |
| 13 | Channel separator plates |
| 14 | Seal/replace if damaged |
| 15 | Adjustment of intake manifold flaps |
| 16 | Vacuum unit for intake manifold flaps |
| 17 | Intake manifold flap valve |
| 18 | Temperature sensor > Tightening - torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.) |
| 19 | Throttle housing > Tightening - torque 7 Nm (5 ftlb.) This must be adapted to suit the engine control unit again following removal and installation or replacement |
| 20 | Screw > Tightening - torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) |
| 21 | Intake manifold pressure sensor This must be adapted to suit the engine control unit again following removal and installation or following replacement |
| 22 | Intake-air distributor |
| 23 | Fuel pressure sensor/coat thread and cone with clean engine oil > Tightening - torque 27 Nm (20 ftlb.) |
