Replacing Balance Shaft Sealing Ring: Notes

Information 

The screw of the coolant pump drive belt pulley has a left-hand thread.

1. Remove drive belt pulley -3-  .

   1. 1.1  Unscrew screws -2-  .
      1. 1.1.1  Replace screw.
   2. 1.2  Remove drive belt pulley -3-  .
2. Remove balance shaft sealing ring -1-  .

   Balance-shaft sealing ring

   1. 2.1  Position a screwdriver on the outer surface -Arrow-  of the balance shaft sealing ring -1-  from the inside and press it on firmly.
   2. 2.2  Lever out balance-shaft sealing ring -1-  using the screwdriver. Make sure not to damage the contact surfaces of the balance-shaft sealing ring -1-  in the cylinder block and the balance shaft -2-  while doing this.
      1. 2.2.1  Replace balance-shaft sealing ring.
   3. 2.3  Clean sealing ring seating and balance shaft -2-  carefully using suitable aids.
