Installing Balance-Shaft Sealing Ring

Information 

The screw of the coolant pump drive belt pulley has a left-hand thread.

1. Install new  balance-shaft sealing ring -1-  .

   Balance-shaft sealing ring

   1. 1.1  Coat new balance-shaft sealing ring -1-  with transmission oil.
   2. 1.2  Slide balance-shaft sealing ring -1-  onto the balance shaft -2-  . When doing so, make sure that the inscription air side  is facing outward. 
   3. 1.3 T10353/1 - Push pressure piece-2-  onto the balance shaft and press in using the screw for the drive belt pulley.

      When doing so, make sure that the balance shaft sealing ring -1-  is not tilted.

   4. 1.4  Check that the new balance-shaft sealing ring -1-  is seated correctly in the cylinder block.
2. Install drive belt pulley -3-  .

   Coolant pump drive belt

   1. 2.1  Fit drive belt pulley -3-  .
   2. 2.2  Screw in new  screw -2-  by hand, but do not tighten yet.
