Preliminary Work

Information 

The required preliminary work and subsequent work can vary depending on equipment.

The instructions provided in the document are for vehicles with the maximum possible equipment.

1. Remove side cover for backrest and disengage rear cover for backrest at the underside of the seat.
   • WM, 722619 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR BACKREST 
2. Remove side trim panel for front seat, without storage tray.

   WM, 721619 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRIM PANEL FOR SEAT 

3. Disconnect pressure line (red) under the seat.
   • WM, 723819 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL VALVE FOR AIR CUSHION 
4. Disconnect wire harness for side airbag at the underside of the seat.
   • WM, 696319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SIDE AIRBAG
5. On vehicles with heated seats:  Unplug electric plug connection for seat heating for backrest and disconnect wire harness.
