Removing Front Brake Calliper

NOTE:
Removal of brake calliper
- Paint defects on brake calliper
- Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
- Protect brake calliper from paint defects using a suitable cloth.
Information
To gain better access for removal of the brake calliper, turn the steering fully either to the right or left.
- Have suitable aids ready for catching emerging brake fluid.
- Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the line connections.
- Loosen brake line holder -1-
from wheel bearing housing.
Brake line holder
- 3.1 Unscrew screw on brake line holder -2- .
- Carefully pull out contact for brake pad wear indicator -1-
and loosen electric line -2-
from the bleeder valve cover at the brake calliper -3-

- Remove front brake calliper -1-

Front brake calliper
Information
Collect emerging brake fluid.
- 5.1 Disconnect brake line -2- from front brake calliper -1- and set it aside.
- 5.2 Close off connection openings using stoppers.
Information
Never use power tools (impact bolter) for loosening and securing the brake calliper on the wheel bearing housing.
- 5.3 Unscrew screws on brake calliper -3- .
- 5.4 Remove front brake calliper -1- .
