Installing Front Brake Caliper

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
1. 1.1 Reset brake pads using > 9472 - brake piston resetting fixture.
2. 1.2 Replace screws securing brake calliper to wheel bearing housing.
3. 1.3 Tighten screws securing brake caliper to wheel bearing housing.
  Brake 18-inch - red:
  
  > Initial - tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)
  
  > Final tightening + 90°
  
  19-inch PCCB/PSCB:
  - Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)
  - Final tightening + 90°
4. 1.4 Tighten brake pipe/brake hose on brake calliper.
  Grey cast iron/PSCB:
  
  > Tightening - torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
  
  PCCB:
  
  > Tightening - torque 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)
5. 1.5 Tighten screw securing brake line bracket to wheel bearing housing.
  > Tightening - torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
6. 1.6 Position disc brake pads by pressing the brake pedal several times.
