Assembling Rear Shock Absorber (Conventional)

Information
A soapy solution can be used for fitting the rubber stop in the boot.
- Fit rubber stop into spring-strut mount and boot.
- Position spring-strut mount with rubber stop and boot on the shock absorber.
- Align spring-strut mount at a 90° angle -X-
with respect to the lower spring-strut mount.
Aligning spring-strut mount
- Screw on and tighten nut using ratchet -1-
and > T10001 - shock absorber set-2 to 4-
and counter at the hexagon on the piston rod at the same time.
> Tightening torque 35 Nm
Nut on piston rod (conventional)
- Ratchet (commercially available)
- T10001/9 Extension with counter-hold tool
- T10001/11 Change-over ratchet
- T10001/1 Socket-wrench insert
- Push protection cap onto spring-strut mount.
