Removing Lower Trailing Arm

Preloaded or pressurised components
- Risk of squashing or bruising
- → Do not reach into the danger area.
- → Relieve the tension on components before starting work.
- → Secure components to prevent them from loosening suddenly.
- Loosen add-on parts from lower trailing arm.
Add-on parts on lower trailing arm
- 1.1 Unscrew screw on connecting link for anti-roll bar -1- .
- 1.2 Unscrew screw on connecting link for rear angle sensor for headlight beam adjustment -2- .
- 1.3 Move connecting link for rear angle sensor for headlight beam adjustment -3- aside so that it will not be damaged when removing the lower trailing arm.
- Loosen lower trailing arm -1-
on rear axle housing.

- 2.1 Unscrew screw on lower trailing arm -2- and counter at the nut -3- at the same time.
- 2.2 Unscrew screw securing lower trailing arm to rear axle housing -4- .
- Remove lower trailing arm -1-

- 3.1 Unscrew screw securing lower trailing arm to wheel bearing housing -2- and counter at the nut -3- at the same time.
- 3.2 Remove spacer sleeve -4- from lower trailing arm -1- .
- 3.3 Guide out lower trailing arm -1- .
