Assembling Front Spring Strut

→ Secure components to prevent them from loosening suddenly.

If the coil spring is replaced: Always replace coil springs in pairs only!

During installation, make sure that the ends of the spring are touching the limit stops of the spring plate in the spring-strut mount (PASM)/mounting saddle (conventional) and in the lower concave support (permissible gap dimension: 2 mm).
- Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:
- 1.1 Tightening torque for mounting saddle to piston rod (conventional):
> Tightening - torque 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)
- 1.2 Tightening torque for spring-strut mount to piston rod (PASM):
> Tightening - torque 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)
