Preliminary Work

  1. Remove cover for front underbody.

    > Refer to appropriate service information

  2. Remove spark plug for cylinder 1.

    > 287020 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING SPARK PLUGS (R4)

  3. Remove upper chain housing cover.

    > 153319 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING CHAIN HOUSING COVER (R4) 

  4. Remove lower chain housing cover.

    > 153319 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING CHAIN HOUSING COVER (R4) 

  5. Remove camshaft actuators.

    > 158419 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR (R4)
