Preliminary Work

  1. Loosen all threaded connections on the wheel bearing housing.

    > 425219 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL BEARING HOUSING - SECTION ON "REMOVING"

    Lower trailing arm

    1. 1.1 Only loosen nut -3-  on the threaded joint -2 and 4-  on the lower trailing arm -1-  to the wheel bearing housing, do not unscrew fully.
  2. Remove rear coil spring/air spring bellows.

    > 427219 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING COIL SPRING - SECTION ON "REMOVING" 

    > 434319 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR SUSPENSION BELLOWS - SECTION ON "REMOVING"
