Removing Rear-View Mirror Housing (Lower Part)

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Expose rear-view mirror housing (lower part).

   Rear-view mirror housing (lower part)

   1. 1.1  Unscrew screw -1-  .
   2. 1.2  Remove plastic washer -2-  .
   3. 1.3  Remove coil spring -3-  .
   4. 1.4  Remove plastic washer -4-  .
   5. 1.5  Unclip wire harness -5-  at the mirror bracket -6-  .
   6. 1.6  Release and disconnect electric plug connection -7-  .
   7. 1.7  Pull electric plug connection -8-  out of the bracket, then release and disconnect it.
2. Unclip mirror bracket -1-  on lower part of housing -2- (-Arrows-)  , guide it out of the bracket -3-  and remove it.

3. Unclip area lighting -4-  from lower part of housing -2-  and disconnect electric plug connection.

4. Guide out wire harness -5-  at lower part of housing -2-  and remove lower part of housing -2-  .
