Calibrating Front Camera

Irreparable damage to control unit

Fault entries in the control unit
Control unit programming/coding is aborted
Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming
1. → Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.
2. → Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.
3. → Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A to the vehicle battery.

CAUTION: The PIWIS Tester instructions take precedence since the description may be different with later Tester releases.
The procedure described here has been structured in general terms. Different text or additional information may appear on the PIWIS Tester.

Connect the Tester to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition.
Select the vehicle if required.
Select the Front camera control unit in the overview. Press F12 to continue. The message "Create Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL)?" appears. Press F11 to continue.
Coding/programming must be selected.
Automatic coding must now be selected. Press F12 to continue.
The Tester displays the message: Coding completed successfully.
Maintenance/repairs must now be selected.
Calibrate front camera must be selected. Then press F12.
Read the warnings displayed on the Tester and follow the instructions.
Start the calibration process by pressing F8. The vehicle must not be moved.
Read the warnings and instructions displayed on the Tester. The exact adjustment sequence is shown on the Tester during calibration.
The Tester confirms that calibration w as completed successfully.
Switch ignition off and then on again.
Read out the fault memory and correct faults that are stored if necessary.
Exit the diagnostic application. Switch off ignition. Disconnect the Tester from the vehicle.
Check the function of the front camera.
