Replacing Fuse Element In Power Distributor
NOTIFICATION
Voltage peaks
- Risk of damage to loads or to the control unit
→ Disconnect the battery before removing the component or control unit.
Installation position of fuse element

- Unhook cover -1-
over terminal clamp on the power distributor and fold it over -arrow a-
.
Covers on power distributor
- Release cover -2-

) and fold it up towards the rear -arrow c-
.
Covers on power distributor
- Remove defective fuse element.
Fuse element
- 3.1 Unscrew fastening nut -1- with line on the fuse element.
- 3.2 Unscrew fastening nut -2- on the fuse element.
- 3.3 Remove the rest of the fuse element from the power distributor.
- Insert a new fuse element with a suitable nominal current rating.
Fuse element
- 4.1 Tighten fastening nut -1- for the line on the fuse element to > Tightening - torque 7.5 Nm (5.5 ftlb.) .
- 4.2 Tighten fastening nut -2- on the fuse element to > Tightening - torque 7.5 Nm (5.5 ftlb.) .
- Push cover -1-
forward and close it until it engages securely -arrow a-
.
Cover
- Tighten terminal clamp -2-
for the power distributor on the battery terminal to > Tightening - torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)

- Close the cover -1- on the positive terminal until it engages securely.
