Removing And Installing Optical Contacts On Connector Side

  1. Use > VAS 1978/35-33 - release tool set  to open the secondary lock. Insert the tool into the opening provided for this purpose and lift the locking mechanism -Arrow-  . The locking mechanism engages in the upper position.

  2. > VAS 1978/35-33 - Release tool set  must be positioned on the primary lock. Then lift the locking mechanism.

  3. Carefully pull on the optical waveguides -A and B-  in -direction of arrow-  . If it is not possible to pull out the optical waveguide, check again that the secondary locking mechanism is completely released and that the primary locking mechanism is raised sufficiently.

    B Optical contact, black
  4. Visually check the locks, connector housing and contacts for damage. Replace damaged parts if necessary.
