Removing Front Wire Harness

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage peaks 

• Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 

  → Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).

  → Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle or a similar component. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 

1. Release and disconnect electric plug connections.

   Electric plug connection

   1. 1.1 Release electric plug connection -1-  at the microswitch for the front lid lock at the left and right and disconnect it.

      > Refer to appropriate service information

   2. 1.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  on the garage door opener control unit.

      > 967919 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR GARAGE DOOR OPENER

   3. 1.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3-  on the left and right horn.

      > 905019 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING HORN

   4. 1.4 Release electric plug connection -4-  at the outside temperature sensor and disconnect it.

   > 916819 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE SENSOR

2. Release electric plug connection -1-  at the air-conditioning pressure switch and disconnect it.

   > 878319 - REMOVING AND INSTALLING PRESSURE SWITCH

3. Release electric plug connections -1 and 2-  under the left headlight and disconnect them.

4. Unclip holder -1-  on front wire harness -2-  .
