Removing C-Pillar Reinforcement

Information 

Mark cut Y  in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

1. Remove C-pillar reinforcement.

   Information 

   Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

   1. 1.1  Drill out spotwelds using > VAS 882 001 - spotweld remover  .
2. Remove side panel section

   Information 

   Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

   1. 2.1  Mark and make cuts. > Distance 100 mm 

      Information 

      Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

   2. 2.2  Drill out spotwelds using > VAS 882 001 - spotweld remover  .
3. Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .
4. Remove side panel section -1-  .

5. Mark and make cuts. > Distance 90 mm 
6. Drill out spotwelds using > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld breaker  .

7. Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .
