Installing Rear Left Backrest

WARNING: Incorrect handling of safety bolts 
  • Danger of injury 
  • Loss of torque 
    1. → Always use new screws or nuts following removal.
    2. → Comply with instructions for repairs.
    3. → Observe specified tightening torques.
    4. → Carry out a visual inspection of parts used.
  1. Guide rear left backrest -1-  into the mount on the body side -2- (-arrow A-)  .

    Rear backrest

  2. Only for vehicles with heated seats:  Connect electric plug connection between the rear seat and backrest.
  3. Guide rear left backrest -1-  into the centre mount -3- (-arrow B-)  .

    Information 

    Always replace the fastening screws on the seat assembly after customer service and reworking. Micro-self-locking or self-tapping screws must not be modified, greased or loosened and then screwed in again.

  4. Install bearing brackets -1- (-Arrows-)  and secure them with a new  screw > Tightening - torque 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)  .
