Removing Roof Trim Panel

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

1. Unscrew screws -1-  under the roof console.

2. Unscrew screw -2-  on luggage compartment net cover holder at the D-pillar.

   Information 

   Make sure that the roof cover does not buckle.

3. Detach headliner from the body at the rear Velcro attachment points -1-  and unclip it.

4. Fold over the rear seat backrest.
5. Move the driver and passenger seat all the way forward and down.
6. Move the driver and passenger seat backrest back as far as possible.
7. Three people are needed in order to remove the headliner.
   1. 7.1 Position of first person: Driver's side
   2. 7.2 Position of second person: Passenger's side
   3. 7.3 Position of third person: Luggage compartment

   Information 

   Make sure that the roof cover does not buckle.

8. Remove headliner.

Headliner

1. 8.1 Lower the headliner -1-  on the passenger's side down as far as possible -arrow A-  .
2. 8.2 Pull the headliner -1-  out towards the rear through the cut-out in the tailgate -arrow B-  .
