Removing Roof Trim Panel
Information
- The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
- The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
- Some steps must be carried out automatically.
- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.
- Unscrew screws -1-
under the roof console.
Front roof trim panel
- Unscrew screw -2-
on luggage compartment net cover holder at the D-pillar.

Information
Make sure that the roof cover does not buckle.
- Detach headliner from the body at the rear Velcro attachment points -1-
and unclip it.
Rear roof trim panel
- Fold over the rear seat backrest.
- Move the driver and passenger seat all the way forward and down.
- Move the driver and passenger seat backrest back as far as possible.
- Three people are needed in order to remove the headliner.
- 7.1 Position of first person: Driver's side
- 7.2 Position of second person: Passenger's side
- 7.3 Position of third person: Luggage compartment
Information
Make sure that the roof cover does not buckle.
- Remove headliner.
Headliner
- 8.1 Lower the headliner -1- on the passenger's side down as far as possible -arrow A- .
- 8.2 Pull the headliner -1- out towards the rear through the cut-out in the tailgate -arrow B- .
